OPEN SCIENCE | KWEST Lab

Committment to Open Science

The mission of the KWEST Lab is to inform policies and public decision making around our infrastructure system.  That requires that we do our work out in the open and make our work maximally available to other researchers, decision makers, and our fellow citizens.  As such, we commit ourselves to the practice of Open Science.

As part of this commitment, we will:

  1. Submit pre-print of our manuscript to public pre-print repositories and strive to publish in quality Open Access and Hybrid journals;
  2. Place data produced as part of our work in the public domain, consistent with best practices;
  3. Coordinate our research projects on the Open Science Foundation and make these projects public, consistent with best practices; and
  4. Use GitHub for all code repositories produced in the lab and make these repositories public, consistent with best practices.

We are excited to join the research community in the effort to make our work open to all who are interested and not just those that can afford journal subscriptions.
