CEGE professors listed among world's top scientists
Faculty in The Ohio State University's College of Engineering are internationally recognized for their scholarship and a newly published list from Elsevier illustrates how impactful these Buckeye Engineers' contributions are to science and society.
Created by researchers at Stanford University, "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators", lists the world's top 2% of highly-cited scientists, based on a number of measurable factors.
Among the more than 70 Ohio State engineering faculty members listed in the database were Dr. Halil Sezen, professor of structural engineering and Dr. Alper Yilmaz, professor of geo-informatics.
As Director of Ohio State's Photogrammetric Computer Vision Lab, Professor Yilmaz's research focuses on biomimetic navigation for unmanned systems.
Researchers in Dr. Sezen's Structural Performance Lab investigate structural design, analysis and performance assessment of various structures under extreme loading conditions.
