CEGE faculty among those honored by College of Engineering

Each year, The College of Engineering honors faculty, researchers and partners who exhibit outstanding teaching, innovation and service to our students, the university and the community.  In 2021, two CEGE faculty members were recognized for their achievements.

Dorota Grejner Brzezinska, associate dean for research, College of Engineering, and professor, CEGE, received the Diversity Excellence Award for advancing the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering's mission in research and teaching through a commitment to diversity in faculty hiring.

The Diversity Excellence Award recognizes an individual or team demonstrating excellence and success in the development and implementation of models, strategies, practices and programs that foster and enhance diversity in the college.


Assistant Professor Andy May was a recipient of the college's Lumley Engineering Research Award, which is presented to a select group of outstanding researchers in the College of Engineering who have shown exceptional activity and success in pursuing new knowledge of a fundamental or applied nature.
