Alper Yilmaz named Ohio State Innovator of the Year

Alper Yilmaz, Professor of Geo-Informatics in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering (CEGE), was recognized by the Ohio State community for his research in wireless geolocation technology. Dr. Yilmaz was named the 2020 Innovator of the Year by the the Office of Research and the Corporate Engagement Office in a surprise Zoom meeting announcement attended by Ohio State President Kristina M. Johnson, Senior Vice President for Research Morley O. Stone, Vice President for Economic and Corporate Engagement Scott Osborne, David B. Williams, Dean of the College of Engineering, as well as Yilmaz's colleagues in CEGE.
