CEGE Professor and Chair receives award from Institute of Navigation

Dr. Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, 2016 Johannes Kepler Award honoree.
Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, Professor and Chair of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering, was awarded the Johannes Kepler Award on September 16, 2016. The citation, presented to Professor Brzezinska during the Institute of Navigation's Global Navigation Satellite Systems + (GNSS+) Conference in Portland, Oregon, recognizes significant contributions to the field of satellite navigation.

Dr. Grejner-Brzezinska is the 25th honoree, and only the third woman to receive this, the highest honor given by ION.

Professor Brzezinska is the founder and leader of Ohio State's Satellite Position and Inertial Navigation (SPIN) Laboratory and co-founder of the Ohio Consortium on Navigation and Timekeeping (COUNT), a partnership among academia, government and industry. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Navigation, a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation and currently serves as President of ION.
