Paula Mouser, Assistant Professor, Environmental Engineering, was named a recipient of The Lumley Engineering Research Award  at The College of Engineering's Annual Faculty Awards, held on April 28, 2016.

Made possible through an endowment established by John H. and Mildred C. Lumley, this distinguished faculty award recognizes a select group of researchers in the College of Engineering who have shown exceptional activity and success in pursuing new knowledge of a fundamental or applied nature.

Dr. Mouser's lab investigates microbial-environmental interactions in engineered subsurface systems. Of particular interest to her team, is how human alterations influence microbial ecology, metabolic condition, and contaminant fate in groundwater.

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering congratulates Professor Mouser on this outstanding achievement.
