Capstone students make presentations
All environmental engineering Capstone students made presentations on April 18th and 20th at OSU, where a panel of practicing engineers helped Dr. Linda Weavers, Professor, CEGE, evaluate the group's proposals. The students were chosen for the City of Columbus presentation from a “consulting company merger” of the top two groups presenting at OSU.
The newly-formed team, Novice Hydrophilics Consultant Group, consisted of Raj Bhosale, Aubrey Neimeier, Amy West, Stephanie Brim and Randall Berkley. A second group that consisted of Cody Chandler, Sid Hoover, Anton Rosi, and Supreya Kesavan, presented a separate proposal to representatives of the Del-Co Water Company in Delware County on Thursday, April 28th.
Michael Stinziano, Columbus City Council member, also attended the event and presented each student with a commendation for Outstanding Achievment in Environmental Engineering. Also in attendance was the panel of engineers that evaluated the student's initial presentations: Dr. Tim Wolfe, MWH Global, Mark Eppich, City of Columbus, Stacia Eckenwiler, City of Columbus, Matt Leach, CH2M, Bret Casey, Hazen and Sawyer and Nicole Sayjak, Hazen and Sawyer. Mr. Eppich, Ms. Eckenwiler and Mr. Leach graduated from Ohio State with degrees in civil engineering.
