On May 5, 2015, the Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain inducted Professor Hojjat Adeli as a Corresponding Member during a ceremony in Lithuania.  This was the first Honorary Doctorate given in the past three years.

The Royal Academy of Engineering’s main function is to promote works and studies that reflect scientific progress in the field of engineering, its technological applications and its operational techniques. It reinforces its international presence through its corresponding members, who, as professionals from a variety of engineering disciplines, have shown exceptional merit over the course of their careers.

Dr. Adeli also presented a Keynote Lecture at the 5th International Work-Conference on the Interplay between Natural and Artificial Computation (IWINAC 2015), held in Elche, Alicante, Spain, and a Distinguished Lecture at EPFL, held in Lausanne, Switzerland, one of the highest ranked universities in Europe.
