Marron Awarded NSF Fellowship
Emily Marron was recently awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Emily is a graduating senior in environmental engineering and is currently working on her undergraduate honors thesis research with Dr. Linda Weavers and visiting scholar, Dr. Meigiang Cai. Her research is focused on investigating steam bubble cavitation, an advanced oxidation process. In the fall, Emily will be attending ETH in Zurich, Switzerland to continue her studies in environmental engineering.
Ten Ohio State undergraduates were awarded National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships, and five more received Honorable Mentions. NSF Fellowships provide three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees. 2,000 Fellowships are awarded annually to graduating seniors and first- and second-year graduate students to ensure the vitality of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the United States.
Congratulations, Emily!
