Michael Mendez will present a lecture entitled "Climate Change from the Streets: Community-Based Strategies for Global Change" in Knowlton Hall’s Gui Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11. The talk is free and open to the public.

Mendez holds three degrees in environmental planning and community economic development, including a PhD from UC Berkeley's Department of City and Regional Planning, with a designated emphasis in Science & Technology Studies, and a graduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Since 2013, Mendez has been an affiliated scholar with the Center for Regional Change at the University of California, Davis and the UC Berkeley Center for Global Healthy Cities.
